The first episode of the ISN-KDIGO Webinar Series, Dissecting the Role of Complement in Glomerulonephritis with a Focus on C3G, covers the role of complement in various forms of glomerulonephritis, emphasizing C3G, and reviews the pathophysiology of the complement system (classical, lectin, and alternate pathways). Challenges around diagnosis, current recommendations for evaluating the complement system, and recent and evolving guidelines for the management of C3 glomerulopathy are presented for discussion. The role of novel therapeutics in this setting is also be touched upon.
